Nooooo! And that’s the beauty of our DIY kits. We wanted to make pottery accessible to everyone at home, without having to fire the pieces in a ceramic kiln.

We use natural self-hardening clay, which air dry in 24 to 48 hours, to which fibers have been added to make it more resistant. It therefore does not, and cannot, be fired in a ceramic kiln or even in a conventional oven.

However, since clay does not fire, you will not be able to eat or drink in your creations, but you can make a host of other objects.
Well packed in the bag, the clay will keep for about 3 months. It is when in contact with the air that it begins to dry, so take care to close the bag containing the wet clay.
Once your piece is sculpted, it will dry in about 24 hours. On the other hand, if it is very thick, it may take longer, even 2-3 days.
To make your creation water resistant, you will need to apply a few coats of paint and sealant, provided in the box. Let dry well between coats. If you are making a pot for a plant, we advise you to leave your plant in the plastic pot that comes with your plant and take it out to water it.
Since clay does not fire, it is not food grade, so you will not be able to eat or drink in your piece.

We process orders in 1 to 2 working days and then ship them via Canada Post or other carriers.
At the moment, we deliver to Canada and the United States. We are not responsible for customs fees. Shipping costs is 5$ all across Canada and are calculated at checkout for the USA.
If you order when the temperature is below zero, Canada Post will ask for a signature. If no one is home to receive the package, they will leave a note at the door to tell you where to pick up your package. The reason for this is that both clay and paint are sensitive to frost. To avoid having to travel, we recommend that you have your package delivered to the office during winter. The rest of the time, our carriers will place your package in a secure location.
    Unfortunately not.
Delivery is $ 5 all across Canada for orders of 60$ and more. Shipping costs for orders below 75$ and to the USA are calculated at checkout. We are not responsible for duties.
